Meet Stephen Whistler. He’s the new national Wholesale Manager at Eland Cables.

What’s your role at Eland Cables all about?
National Wholesale Manager is a new role at Eland, designed to make the company more accessible to wholesalers. It’s my aim to develop stronger links with branches, buyers and decision-makers and demonstrate the benefits of keeping Eland’s cable on the shelves.
 
 What’s a typical day for a national Wholesaler Manager?
My job is about meeting people. I’m here to listen to your feedback and ensure we deliver a competitive package. We’ve a great team at Eland offering keen pricing, excellent stocks and fast delivery on a wide range of products.
 
How well do you know wholesalers?
I worked for two prominent cable management manufacturers for many years, where I developed strong relationships with wholesalers by making sure I was more valuable to their business than my competitors. People buy from people, and I believe it takes professionalism, integrity and a responsive attitude to be successful.
 
What's the most interesting thing people don't know about you?
I’ve always been a bit of a sportsman and did play Rugby for England (at schoolboy level). I still turn out for the local team, but am definitely a lot slower nowadays.
