AWEBB AGM - Barcelona

The AWEBB group has once again enjoyed a very successful AGM which was held in Barcelona.The first event of the AGM was a networking evening which took place at the Mirarmar restaurant set in the hills overlooking the city and many guest took the opportunity to arrive in a style via the cable car system which travelled over the Port Olympic directly into the venue which offered amazing views across the city.

 
 
The venue was magnificent and the supplier member socialising helped to build on relationships in the most relaxed environment possible.
On Saturday morning our main AGM meeting took place where members present agreed that the meeting was professional and offered opportunities to develop our group .
A presentation from Mr Emmanuel Laggarigue vice president of
business development at group Schneider presented to the membership outlining the Schneider global strategy on ‘one Schneider’ and their clear drive to be the world leading supplier within the energy efficiency market by 2050!
 
Saturday evening gave suppliers and members even more time to network with pre dinner drinks on the terrace at the hotel Zero before being called for the Gala dinner, during which time the guests were entertained by comedian Rod Woodward, winner of the BBC comedy competition ‘Funny Business’.
 
 
In addition to this the AWEBB awards for ‘Supplier of the Year’ and ‘Member of the Year’ were announced and presented to Cheryl Portman of Trench and Andrew Johnson of LINCS Electrical, well done to them both.
 
 
 
During the event the AWEBB group and attending suppliers raised £3,700 on behalf of the industries official charity the EEIBA by holding a silent auction on gifts donated by the suppliers. The whole event was a great success for both members and suppliers alike with on the day offers from suppliers achieving member orders in excess of £600,000.
