Havells Sylvania, a leading global designer and supplier of lighting systems, has launched a new range of energy saving lamps as a direct answer to the EuP regulation to ban incandescent lamps in Europe.
 
 
Havells Sylvania’s new Halogen Classic ECO range comprises of 28 types, from classical A55 shapes, to candles, balls and reflectors in all common household sockets (E27, E14 and B22). The lamps’ 1:1 dimensional match means that it is a direct retrofit for an incandescent lamp in height, depth and width, fitting perfectly in all kinds of luminaires from pendants to table lamps.
 
From September 2009, The European Community will implement an EuP directive to prohibit the sale of inefficient incandescent lamps. The Halogen Classic ECO range, will not only provide a direct retrofit, but will also offer up to 30% energy saving compared to an incandescent lamp.
 
Moreover, compared to compact fluorescent lamps, the Halogen Classic ECO range is environmentally friendly since they contain no mercury or other hazardous substances and can be disposed of easily in normal household waste.

A Revolution in Spotlighting – Stadium by Concord
 
Concord Stadium is an innovative low energy spotlight range which takes display lighting into a new dimension.
Utilising 16 x 1W LED’s, generating up to 1200 fixture lumens this cutting-edge spotlight introduces a new highly flexible accent lighting tool.
 
 
The Concord vision was to design and develop the optimum LED spotlight. The Stadium range incorporates all the features and benefits of the new LED technology designed around a super slim housing, allowing the spotlight to provide lighting solutions for a myriad of lighting applications, including museums, galleries and retail spaces.
The Stadium portfolio introduces two versions, Stadium EVO and Stadium PRO, both with excellent colour rendering, low running temperatures, very long lamp life resulting in reduced maintenance costs and energy saving efficient light source with low power consumption.
 
Stadium EVO is specifically designed for retail and display spaces where textiles and cosmetics are being displayed. The EVO meets the tough demands of these environments by providing high colour rendering, zero UV/IR radiation, reduction in maintenance costs and an energy saving solution over more traditional lamp sources such as low voltage and metal halide.
The ultra slim housing reduces bunching of spotlights on the track and allows the EVO to be discrete and disappear into the space.
 
Stadium PRO is ideal for sensitive environments such as museums and galleries where measures are taken to protect the paintings and artefacts from damage caused by ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) light.
The PRO provides a safe, economical and functional lighting solution for these spaces and introduces individual dimmable control from an on board potentiometer resulting in energy saving and also introducing contrast and effect through varying light levels.
